Artwork Requirements
To ensure production to your specifications, we require electronic artwork, preferably in Adobe Illustrator® format. Artwork must be vector based and saved as an EPS file. In addition, all fonts must be converted to outlines before saving. Files must include Pantone® (or PMS) colors and may not contain placed images.
Explanation of Artwork terms and Art formats:
Vector Art format versus Pixel (or Bitmap) Art format.
Vector format
Typically Adobe Illustrator, Freehand or .eps files. The shapes are constructed using a mathematical algorithm. Image can be enlarged to any size without loosing quality.
This is the required format.
Pixel (or Bitmap) format
Pixel images are made of small dots or pixels and most often photos. They can be found in many different formats, .tif, .jpg, .eps, .gif, etc. and can only be scaled in ONE direction, smaller.
